La Nobleza de Aguililla

La Nobleza de Aguililla was founded in 1980 in its namesake city of Aguililla, in the Mexican state of Michoacán, but it wasn't until 1995 that the group issued its first recording, Justicia Negra. That album opened the door for the ensemble to gain recognition outside of its native state, particularly in the southern states of Guerrero and Michoacán. More than a dozen followed Justicia Negra, including 2005's Pa' Mis Valis de Tierra Caliente, which contained "Chaparrita," their first charting single in Billboard's Regional Mexican count. ~ Andree Farias, All Music Guide
